We’re Open!

August 4th, 2006

Tomorrow- and every Saturday from now on- we will be open from 10-5.

I don’t think we’ll have our new street numbers up by the morning, but it’s 2514 St. Claude Ave. and easy to find. Here’s what you’re looking for:

Note Scott’s dog Rufus looking longingly out the door at us! Aww.

The gallery is just before you hit Franklin St. Ave. We hope to see ya tomorrow or soon. Oh, and if you can’t come on a Saturday, give us a call to make an appointment.

  1. [...] Wandering out of 910 Esplanade today with Becky Houtman in tow, off to see the opening of the new Farrington Smith Gallery, when, to my surprise, I encoutered a letter carrier, with my letter box opened. I have no mailbox key, so this was an fleeting opportunity to check my mail. I produced my driver’s license, the one recently aquired for the sake of domestic travel, the one that says that I live at 910 Esplanade Ave Apt 5, New Orleans, LA. [...]

Your gallery site has been added to the “Shop the Gulf” section of the CoHR Squidoo Lens (see http://www.squidoo.com/cohr ), which is related to the Carnival of Hurricane Relief (see http://www.cehwiedel.com/cohr/ ). I will include your post about the nurse’s fund in today’s edition of CoHR (the 51st). I would love to be able to use a photograph of your gallery as a banner illustration for the CoHR homepage. Each illustration is up for a week, with full credit and a link. Please let me know. Also: is there a mechanism for online purchase?

That sounds great; we’d love to be included!

For now, we ask people who want to make a purchase to give us a call and we can do a credit card transaction or make other arrangements. Folks could also drop an email with their phone number and I would call them.

This reminds me to talk to Alan G. about adding some text to make purchasing procedures clearer!

I was just perusing your sites, and I want to say I really like how how the CoHR is organized…with the blog’s name and the synopsis and all that. Very friendly to use!

Oh, and please let me know if you need me to send you a picutre of the gallery to use on the homepage.
