Wow,

This is the cool side of Houston. The next time I visit my Uncle there, I'd like to see this.

My Grandmother, Bernice Cantrell Hanzo, grew up in the Doullut house, the second one, just off the river. She is now 85 years old, and I am trying to find a painting of the Doullut House for her to put on her wall. Help?! Does anyone know of an artist that has painted this house?

Thank you,
Nicole Foret

The original Steamboat house is the one closest to the levee. It was finished in 1907, the twin was built by doulluts son, it was completed in 1912. My father, a decendant of Doullut still owns the original. The boards have since been removed from the windows and it looks great. if you would like more info you can contact me @ hc_gimpy01@yahoo.com

I like to give those kitties a hug when I come to see art. My fave is Eloi 'cause he's big and fat and he meets me at the steps. Humans and cats are a good combo. They often blink when happy. The cats, that is, do all of the blinking. Humans, when happy, often burp. O.K, here I come, I'll be there in a blink!

Adam, great job for our friend Steve Richardson. I believe you've broken a record. It was a delight meeting you the other night for our 'special'viewing. Back in NOLA on the 17th ..will stop by. Once again...a superb job of running a gallery. Gran

Hi, Amy! Thanks for all your comments...sorry it took me awhile to moderate and get them posted. I'll also be sure to let Scott know you came by the site!

Scott told Adam and I about you and the restaurant...love the name, love lizards! I'm excited about the idea of Adam making print of one.

Daffodil is, by the way, still available.
